Motivation & Community Effort

Chicago Neighborhood Soccer & Shelby Ponder are co-hosting this pickup soccer event. Women’s Soccer makes up a significant portion of the talent and passion in the Chicago soccer community, but unfortunately, we are massively underrepresented at pickup soccer events. Let’s change that! Promoting and hosting women led pickups is one of many significant steps towards promoting Women’s Soccer at the local level, as well as inclusive, passionate, and community driven pickup soccer events as a public good. We believe pickup soccer should belong to the community of amazing Chicago players and fans, and that includes everyone, regardless of race, age, and gender. *and skill level! Everyone is welcome!
